Welcome to Sweet Julian! I am a thirty year old who finds beauty in almost anything and likes to capture it visually. I made the decision a year ago to focus less on outward signaling and more on being present in life, enjoying family and nurturing the spirit. I always have too many projects going on at the same time and I thrive on challenges. Just shy of thirty I have been fortunate enough to marry my soul mate, step into the entrepreneur life, gladly become a mommy twice, and have intimately learned the pain of loss and grief. Maybe its luck, maybe its fate or maybe I just work my butt off everyday at all those things, who knows. What I do know is that life is about what you make of it, how deep your relationship and faith roots go, and how good you are at making lemonade.
Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be the miracle -Phillips Brooks
Five things that shaped my life
My parents had faith and because of this I learned at a very early age to follow Christ and fear the Lord. My Seventh-Day Adventist faith is very important to me and I consider it my first work to instill these principles in my own children.
I fell in love with my high school sweet heart on a class trip to Italy. He gave me a beautiful red rose on a Venetian pier and married me nine years later. We've been together ever since!
Together we founded bloom & speak and I became a lady boss at twenty-five.
My motherhood journey has gifted me two lovely boys, one on earth and one in eternity, whom I adore and learn from each and every day.
I blog to share my life experience with my son in eternity and anyone else who finds them useful, to support the 1 in 4 mother's who have experienced baby loss & to connect internally in a world where introspection is almost nonexistent.
Join me as I live, love, learn & heal!
